KYDP Software Engineering (Cohort 3)
Take Group LimitedAs a software engineer, you will focus on applying the principles of engineering to software development. Your role includes analyzing and modifying existing software as well as designing, constructing, and testing end-user applications that meet user needs — all through software programming languages. Some examples of your responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
Improving system quality by identifying issues and common patterns, and developing standard operating procedures
Enhancing applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations, and designing and implementing systems
Maintaining and improving existing codebases and peer review code changes
Liaising with colleagues to implement technical designs
Investigating and using new technologies where relevant
Providing written knowledge transfer material
To analyse a range of mediums from assorted data points including spatial maps, weather patterns and hyperpectral images to assess suitability of land and soil while identifying bamboo/tree species to develop large language models for accurate analysis and predictions.
You will have experience developing large language models from scratch, training and deployment into live real-time environments ideally with some experience in species or recognition.
Being a part of an AI engineer role, designing and implementing requires handling massive datasets to train the algorithms. It is further used to learn and train the AI for cognitive tasks and subsequently to deploy.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Experience working with spatial-temporal datasets, remote sensing imagery, simulations, and time series analysis
• Experience working with species identification using AI / ML
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced research environment, set priorities to
accomplish multiple tasks within deadlines, and adapt to ever changing needs
• Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and to participate
creatively in collaborative teams
After the completion of your 4-month OJT, you may progress to the available role(s) below:
1. AI /ML Executive
OJT Period: 1 Sept 2024 - 30 Nov 2024
DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT A K-YOUTH STUDENT
