Advise for someone from non tech.
Hi everyone, need some honest advice and perspectives here.
I come from a wastewater engineering background with zero IT experience. Recently, I was offered a spot in the Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer programme.
I’m seriously considering it because I feel like my current career path is starting to hit a ceiling. At the same time, I’m unsure how practical this move is given my non-IT background.
For those who’ve made a transition before (or are in cloud/tech), do you think this is a worthwhile move? If I go ahead with it, how can I realistically anchor or pivot my career using this certification?
Would really appreciate real insights, especially from anyone who started from a non-tech field. Thanks in advanc
Kudos!!
Hi! I’m Vivian, and I’m currently taking Data Analytics as part of this programme.
I have a background in psychology, along with two years of experience in the people experience field. Through this course, I aim to strengthen my analytical skills — particularly within the context of people experience — and hopefully open up more career opportunities along the way.
Excited to learn and grow with all of you!
