Applications are invited for the above vacancy in Business Improvement Branch of Asset Management Department. The appointees will be assigned to undertake a range of duties including information systems strategy development, digital transformation implementation, information systems project management, and production systems support for Power Systems Business Group (PSBG).

Responsibility:

  • Drive digital transformation initiatives to support the organization's strategic objectives

  • Oversee IT project investments, governance, contract management, IT system life cycle management in alignment with the information systems strategy

  • Coordinate business improvement project activities and monitoring progress to ensure alignment with strategic goals

  • Analyze business processes and management practices; identify gaps and develop strategic improvement plans

  • Facilitate communications among key stakeholders and IT professionals to confirm system requirements and design features

  • Ensure the protection of data privacy and adherence to company information security standards

  • Perform duties under adverse weather condition, outside normal working hours, and carry out other duties assigned by supervisor as and when required

Requirements:

  • A recognized university degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Information Technology or relevant discipline

  • At least 5 years’ relevant working experience

  • MHKIE or equivalent professional qualification in relevant discipline will be an advantage

  • Solid experience in managing process review, information systems development projects, cost optimisation, project documentation process, IT systems integration, and data quality

  • Knowledge of the electrical power network, ESRI ArcGIS, Oracle WACS solutions, and Information Technology &; Operational Technology. Knowledge of cyber security is highly desirable

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills

  • Familiar with engineering standards and practices, and management systems would be an advantage

  • Mindful with good safety awareness

  • Customer-oriented, self-motivated, good team player, and able to work under pressure and tight schedule

  • Strong sense of responsibility with good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Possession of a valid Driving License (class 1/1A) is preferred

  • Proficiency in both spoken and written Chinese and English

  • Candidates with lower qualification and/or less experience but demonstrating good potential for further development will be considered for a position at lower grade.
